- Hung Shui Kiu Station (under construction)2 will be located in the new development area and it is planned to be served by Smart and Green Mass Transit System (proposed)5,6,7, which will connect community facilities to establish the New Territories North Central Business District1.
- The development area is around 441 hectares3, which will offer at least 2 million square metres3 of commercial floor area and approximately 67,000 residential units3. Providing commercial space for offices, hotel and special industries uses, the area is expected to foster the growth of a robust regional economic network projected to create approximately 150,000 job opportunities3.
- Regional Plaza, shopping streets, sports centres, government institutions, hospitals and a range of recreational facilities4 are to be constructed, creating a good quality and sustainable living, working and business environment.

- Hung Shui Kiu serves as a strategic transportation hub in the northern New Territories, seamlessly connecting to the Hong Kong International Airport, the Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, and various control points between Hong Kong and China
- Starting from Hung Shui Kiu MTR Station6, the strategic Hong Kong Shenzhen Western Rail Link (proposed)4 will streamline direct access to Qianhai and connect with the Green Transport System (proposed)1, 12 along the coast of Pak Nai/ Lau Fau Shan/ Tsim Bei Tsui
- The Central Rail Link13 stretching from Kam Tin in Yuen Long to Kowloon Tong Station, and the Northern Metropolis Highway13 connecting Tin Shui Wai, Kwu Tung North and Ping Che are proposed to be constructed within the area. Together with the proposed Tuen Mun Bypass project10 and the Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel and the Hong Kong-Zuhai-Macao Bridge, the transportation network will become more sophisticated and comprehensive.

- The proposed Hong Kong Island West-Hung Shui Kiu Rail Link3 will connect Hung Shui Kiu Station (under construction)4 to HKU Station
- Hung Shui Kiu Station (under construction)4 provides direct access to Nam Cheong Station via the Tuen Ma Line, from which one may change for the Tung Chung Line for an additional 2-station10 journey to ICC at Kowloon Station or an additional 3-station journey10 to IFC at Hong Kong Station, providing fast and easy access to core commercial areas in Hong Kong and Kowloon
